Description

IMPORTANT: THIS IS A BETA VERSION!!! READ MY LATEST JOURNAL ENTRY FOR FINAL VERSION DETAILS

Ok, this is a game, not to mention just being a plain executable, so just download it and double click it to play it, no other needed software. The file is kinda big, so those people with a dial-up internet connection, be warned, tis a Megabyte.

Disclaimer-I never claimed to be the most perfect game maker, but mind you, the editable file to this game screwed up before it was 100% complete, so here are a few bugs I never got around to.

!READ THIS!!READ THIS!!READ THIS!!READ THIS!!READ THIS!

*No sound, which I think some people would be happy to not have to suffer through blasted MIDI sounds.

*The TIE's don't point in different directions, but mind you, I bet you will not be able to beat level 2.

*The come-on instructions say pick up green orbs to get back shield points, its actually blue orbs. And it says "Pick up green orbs to use them and press 'S' That is talking about seismic charges, which are really cool but only available in the later stages and in training.

*I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU ARE IN A DELTA 7, DON'T ASK!

Ok, now that that is out of the way, this is a TIE fighter game that I made, just plain and simple. Here are the controls:

Arrow Keys-Move Ship Up/Down/Right/Left
"Space"-Fire Laser
"A"-Fire Proton Torpedo, but only if you have picked up a purple orb (Unless in training)
"S"-Fire Seismic Bomb, but only if you have picked up a green orb (Unless in training)
"P"-Pause
"Esc"-Quit
"T"-Training
"F1"-Game Script
"F4"-Full Screen

Modes:
Normal Mode-Start with zero proton/seismic bomb ammo and 10 health. There are 9 normal levels and the last level keeps repeating. Each level has either more TIEs or a different type of TIE, or both. If your health hits zero, you die and have to start over. If you choose not to start over, you have a chance to put your score on the score board. Collect orbs for ammo and shields, your laser is the only thing that is infinite.

Training Mode-Start with unlimited health and unlimited ammo. Has all types of TIE except for the hardest level of TIE (Which looks really cool by the way, the only way you get to see it is if you make it to the last level). Press T from the normal mode to get here. Press T again to leave. No score is recorded.

Enemies:
Normal TIE-Has minimum shielding and just has lasers. Has no avoidance maneuvers. (Drops proton ammo)
Shielded TIE-Has stronger shielding, but still just has lasers. Has no avoidance maneuvers. (Drops proton ammo)
Bomber TIE-Has extremely strong shields and has proton torpedoes. Has no avoidance maneuvers. (Drops proton ammo)
Cloaked TIE-Has extremely strong shields and has proton torpedoes. Is made to look like the background, yet has no avoidance maneuvers. (Drops seismic ammo)
DEVASTATION TIE-Has nearly invincible shields, has proton torpedoes, and seismic charges. Has avoidance maneuvers, meaning it will dodge your lasers. (Drops seismic ammo)

Items:
Health Orb-Its blue and round and gives you 1 shield point.
Proton Orb-Is purple (Last I checked) and round and gives you 1 proton torpedo. Ammo doesn't carry over when you beat a level. Proton missiles destroy most weaker ships in one hit.
Seismic Orb-Is green and round and gives you 1 seismic charge. Ammo doesn't carry over when you beat a level. Destroys everything in its radius except you, unless a DEVASTATION TIE drops it.

Ok..phew...that should be it. Just drop me a comment if you find even another problem with it, besides its difficulty, heh. Mind you I can't fix it, but I can warn others about it.

Doesn't work for me; :( Could you put up a screencap so I can see what it's like?
