Star Wars Starfighter Sprites by Deus-Ex-Letum Star Wars Starfighter Sprites by Deus-Ex-Letum
DO NOT USE THESE SPRITES FOR ANYTHING UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION BY ME.

Ok, some progress on my game, here are a few ships I have spritified, the HMP (Heavy Missile Platform) Droid Gunship from Episode 3, the Incom X-Wing from Episodes 4 to 6, and the Droid Starfighter from Episodes 1 and 3, I don't think 2 actually had any in it, and that is close to being in scale amazingly enough. I tell you, these three along took forever and a half to draw, and its draining me pretty quick. I now realize I must redraw the TIE Fighters and the Delta 7 to scale size along with the rest of the ships, ugh! On the flip side, I almost have the start menu finished, I have a system so that the ships will point in different directions, and a soundtest, which you have to unlock. There is also a difficulty setting and a data library for the ships and weapons. There is also a test room that is hidden, and for good reason, as it will eventually have access to every craft in the game and every password, level, and weapon as well. Even if you did find the room, it requires a password that can't easily be guessed. I hope you are patient, because its going to be a long trip ahead, especially when I start on the Capital Ships.

All things Star Wars belongs to LucasArts and these sprites were done in MS Paint. Also, again, THESE ARE MINE AND DO NOT STEAL. IF YOU WANT TO USE THEM, ASK!!!!

Can you turn these into RPG maker 2003 sprites and allow me to use them?

Wow! Great sprites. I hope your game turns out well, I know I've started a few in Game Maker, but it's a huge task to finish.

Thanks! Yes, making a game is almost too much for one person. Currently, I have one training mission and one mini game finished on my game(>_< I'm stuck on my second mini game). The entire soundtrack, however, is finished due to the fact its all traditional star wars themes. But, again, thanks, and good luck on any games you make!

Doesn't drawing an X-wing from the top sorta defeat the purpose of calling it an X-wing..?

Just an observation...

XD Anyway, I love how simply you can elaborate...it's weird. There's minimal shading but it looks so technical o.0

Mwaha, you should be considered an illusionist as well as a pixel artist =P

I like X-Wings better than the TIE Fighters because it's a better ship, or better suits my style of flying on the game I have at least. And the run on the deathstar was awesome. ;)

I can easily imagine these took forever. I once tried sprite making on an old Commodore 64, and later on an Amiga 500 with the intention of making a game of a cartoon I liked. I got a fair way into the sprite sheet for one character and realized just how many more of these I'd have to do, not to mention the actual work for the game part, and dropped the whole thing :/

Congratulations on getting so much further with this than I managed, and well done in making such great sprites :) I especially like the X-Wing, but I could be biased. ;) Good luck redrawing them as well :/

Oh, wow, thanks for the comments! These did take a bit longer than one might expect, but it felt good once they were finished. Thanks for the support, it is very much so appreciated, and again, thanks for the comments.

You're welcome! :D I'm happy I checked out your gallery, very interesting place with many good things (admittedly a lot I like ;)) and lots of detail.

I wish I'd finished some of the more complex sprites I set out to make, although I doubt I would've had the patience for a game behind them. That they became abandoned on some ancient system and died with it is a sad end for the effort I did put into them, that you finished yours and are doing things with them is a much better fate. I'm sure even finishing mine would've felt great, I think the thrill of actually implementing them in your own game would be incredible.

You're very welcome for both the support and comments :) You've done a fantastic job on these and other pictures/schematics/sprites, keep up the good work!

Wow, big thanks! You are very kind, I must say, to say such and again I thank you. As to the sprites, I am getting there, game-making wise, as there are still many, many sprites to be made and much more programming and what not, but it does feel good to see them move on the screen. Tis a shame you never got to finish yours, I would imagine they are extremely well done, but again, thanks! :D :D :D

I'm not that kind XD I just know a lot of hard work and skill when I see it :) and appreciate the effort it took. Thanks for saying that though :)

It is a massive undertaking, so I'm not surprised you're still really busy with it. To be able to play your own game and see your own sprites move, very awesome, some of the best games of the 16 and 32 bit era and before were made by only a handful of people, or by some exceptionally talented individuals. Some of my favourite games of all time were made by one person alone, and others by themselves made an incredible sound track for the games they created. You'd think it takes a team of highly payed people to make anything worth playing, but it's not so, and even if you're not looking at the sprites or music, then the gameplay alone is something people can do well with.

Although not as good as yours ;) since I've always been pretty obsessive about getting things as accurate or as good as I could, I think I would've put all the effort I had into them, at least until I realised the full extent of what was involved. I remember drawing up colour charts for each sprite in planning stages, apart from other things :) Thank you for the compliment! :D

Somewhat unrelated, I like the current set of quotes :D In a chatroom a friend and I had a mini run on a deathstar planned out after someone typed "lol" we had:

O = Deathstar (actually they had it striked out, but I don't know how to do that here)
lol = TIEs
X- = X-wings ;)
<O = Millenium falcon

It was amusing in a really sad way, I think we scared the other people out the chat when the lols started firing green ='s at the X-'s which retaliated with red = ^^ ....Oh and then the death star went *

Now that I've finished scaring everyone who read this comment...:D

LOL! That is hilarious, and sounds sadly enough like what I did in an IM. It doesn't work quite as well on IM's though...

Ah, these are great! Wonderful detail, I especially like the X-Wing, because you were able to show all the guns without throwing off the perspective. I love making fine detailed drawings on MS Paint! And you do quite a good job.

Yes, more starships! :D I really like these, the Droid Gunship in particular, I really like that one for some reason. These are all soooo good, even better if you concider how hard Paint is to use! Instant Fave here, Deus!
